With the deprecation of Java applets, SAP Management Console cannot be started from the browser as it used to. In order to continue to provide users with an option, we have developed a new solution that utilizes custom protocols.
If this is your first time starting SAP Management Console through this website, please and perform the necessary setups.
Currently, this solution only supports the platforms Windows/Linux/macOS. If your operating system is not supported or you would like to start it directly via Java, please refer to Note 1014480.
The current platform does not support the browser solution of SAP Management Console. Please refer to Note 1014480 for alternative options.
SAP Management Console (SAPMC).
The filename must be sapmc.jar
without any pre- or suffixes.
Please input the folder path where SAP Management Console is located.
If the file is automatically downloaded into the Downloads
folder of your browser,
please move it to another
local folder and input the path of that location.
Please input the path to your local JAVA environment.
The path must end with the bin
folder. The maximum supported version is Java
8.

The filename must be without any pre- or
suffixes.
Move the downloaded Starting Script to the same folder as SAP Management Console.
Execute the command:
xdg-mime default com.sap.sha.sapmc.desktop x-scheme-handler/sapmc
This command registers the desktop entry com.sap.sha.sapmc.desktop
as the default
application handler for custom protocol
sapmc
.
Custom Protocol sapmc
is not detected.
Please the Wizard and perform the necessary steps to install SAPMC.
If SAPMC is successfully started, you can close this Dialog.
Otherwise, please the Wizard and perform the necessary steps to install SAPMC.
